AFRL Regional Network — Mid-Atlantic Releases Q1 ‘26 Newsletter

The Q1 2026 newsletter marks the AFRL Regional Network – Mid-Atlantic’s return to forward momentum following last year’s pause, highlighting the Network’s continued growth to 137 member institutions and its cumulative impact since launch, including 48 awarded projects, approximately $6.3 million deployed, and $24.5 million in follow-on funding. This edition shares the results of the delayed Spring 2025 Partnership Funding Cycle, outlines key dates for the upcoming Spring 2026 cycle, and announces Cornell University as host of the 2026 Annual Meeting on September 22. It also invites member input on AFRL’s proposed next-generation national research network and spotlights additional opportunities of interest, including the AFRL Regional Network–Midwest Annual Meeting and the ASCEND program for small businesses.
